Friday we had our first Opera night of the season when we went to see San Francisco Operas Production of Cavalleria Rusticana & Pagliacci. Being a novice to opera we never know what to expect when we go but we are never disappointed. We thought that they were 2 completely different operas, and they kind of were, but at the same time the characters were connected. So Pagliacci was sort of a sequel to Cavalleria Rusticana.
The music was beautiful and the set was really elaborate. This one more than all the others I truly felt like we were just people in the town watching everything happen around us. The audience feels like we are sitting in a window with a balcony observing all the things happening in our town below, it was really cool. I don’t want to give any more info than that because its something you have to see for yourself.
Also we got to meet some of YOU which is our favorite part about going to these opera nights. Special thank you to Colleen who was sitting right next to us and brought us some adorable gifts for future baby Lilly. THANK YOU! You’re awesome.
There are still plenty of operas coming to the War Memorial Opera house and we want you to come along with us! You can sign up to win tickets to see Arabella on Novemeber 3rd. Just click HERE
