Here’s a perfect, refreshing, make ahead dessert that will give you more time to spend with your guests~ Yum!
- 2 cups fresh organic strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 frozen pound cake, thawed and cubed
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
In 2 large bowls, keeping the blueberries and strawberries in separate bowls, gently mix each with 1/2 the sugar and set aside for about 1/2 hour while the juices blend.
Combine the whipping cream, sugar and vanilla extract. Whip until soft peaks form.
Use wine or parfait glasses and layer the berries with the cream and the pound cake, alternating to make a red, white and blue pattern!
