Tigers get homesick too, Jillian returns to the SF Zoo

A 5 year old female Sumatran Tiger returned to the SF Zoo after she didn’t like her new Sacramento home.  Jillian was relocated as part of the Sumatran Tiger Species Survival Plan, but after a year of showing signs of anxiety and despondence, SF Zoo officials created a plan to bring her back to the bay.  Jillian is one of fewer than 500 Sumatran Tigers left in the world.  We hope she’s happy to be back at the SF Zoo beside the Ocean.
